What Bag Cleaning means at Bethel
Bags get handled constantly and cleaned rarely. The exterior collects grime, the interior collects crumbs, receipts, and general debris. We clean both: the outside with material-appropriate cleaning products, the interior wiped down and deodorised. Zips, handles, and straps all get attention.
How We Do It
Our process — step by step
Empty & Inspect
We confirm the bag is empty before starting. Any remaining items are set aside and returned. The interior is checked for staining or damage.
Exterior Clean
The bag exterior is cleaned with material-appropriate products — foam cleaners for fabric and nylon, leather cleaner for PU or genuine leather finishes.
Interior Wipe-Down
The interior lining is wiped clean with a damp cloth, removing crumbs, dust, and residue. Problem stains in the lining get targeted spot treatment.
Deodorise
A deodorising spray is applied inside the bag and allowed to dry. No heavy fragrances — just neutralisation.
Hardware & Zips
Zip teeth, handles, and hardware are wiped down. Zip pulls are tested to confirm they're running smoothly before return.

Bags can't always be fully dried after a wet clean. We use minimal moisture and maximise air-dry time.
Returned Stuffed
We stuff bags with tissue paper when returning so they hold their shape during transport.

We use biodegradable detergents, load-proportional water dosing, energy-efficient machines, and responsible chemical waste management. Being good at laundry and being responsible about how we do it are not in conflict — they're the same thing.
